Information

The Urban Future PhD Programme offers ten doctoral research positions funded through a new DFG Research Training Group. It investigates how rivers, coastlines and other water environments can be integrated into urban planning to improve public health, social equity and ecological sustainability, with a focus on cities in the Global South. The programme runs for four years and includes structured supervision, interdisciplinary training and international collaboration.

Eligibility
