TWAS-FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027 in Brazil

The TWAS-FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2027 enables researchers from developing countries to undertake up to 12 months of postdoctoral research in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. It supports early-career researchers across natural, applied and social sciences and is fully funded by FAPESP. Fellows conduct research aligned with ongoing FAPESP-funded projects and gain access to leading laboratories and supervisory mentorship.

Applicants must be nationals and permanent residents of developing countries, hold a PhD or equivalent, apply within seven years of earning their doctorate, and not reside in Brazil or in a developed country.

Stage 1: supervisor submits an Expression of Interest. Stage 2: prospective fellows submit a full proposal via FAPESP’s SAGe system, with a conditional acceptance letter from a host supervisor required before final submission
