London Borough of Tower Hamlets University Bursary

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets University Bursary is a means-tested undergraduate bursary for residents of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It provides a bursary payment of £1,500 to eligible full-time undergraduate students. Eligibility includes residency in Tower Hamlets (usually at least three years, with exceptions for certain refugee schemes), an attendance requirement and an income threshold. The award excludes recipients of the Canary Wharf Education Trust fund.

Applicants must be residents of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (usually for at least three years unless a refugee on the Ukraine or Afghan scheme), be over 18 years old on 1 September 2026, be on a full-time study programme, have at least a 95% attendance record at the end of the first term, have household annual income below £25,000 (excluding Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction), and must not receive the Canary Wharf Education Trust fund.
