Milena Jesenská Fellowship 2025-2026 for Journalists

The Milena Jesenská Fellowship is a program offering European journalists time off from their professional duties to pursue in-depth research on a topic of their choice. Visiting Fellows are invited to spend three months at the IWM in Vienna, receiving a monthly stipend and access to facilities. The program is directed towards cultural journalists and may involve work related to the IWM’s research fields.

Monthly stipend, office access, internet and research facilities, and other related support; three-month residency at the IWM in Vienna.

Open to European journalists; applicants must have worked in print, broadcast or online journalism for several years and must have an outstanding professional record. Applications by entry-level journalists or students will be rejected.
