Human Biology Association Student Travel Awards

The Human Biology Association Student Travel Awards provide financial support for student members to attend the Association's annual meeting. Each year up to five awards of up to $750 each are distributed to student members to be used toward travel to the annual meeting. Applications are evaluated on the basis of an essay and an advisor's letter of support, with priority for those presenting at the meeting and those who have not previously received the award. Applicants must be student members with membership paid prior to application.

Cash award of up to $750 to support travel to the HBA annual meeting.

Open to student members residing in North America. Applicants must be Student Members during the year the meetings are held and have membership paid in full prior to submitting the application; advisor signature certifying student status is required when first joining.

Submit a single PDF including a brief essay (≤1000 words + references), a one-page advisor letter of support, and if applicable a copy of the abstract acceptance email; indicate application when submitting abstract and/or registering. Send PDF to the Membership Representative (email provided).
