International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2027

The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) is an international online competition in astronomy and astrophysics with three rounds: Qualification, Pre-Final, and Final. It is open to eligible high school and university students divided into Junior, Youth and Senior categories. The competition includes problem-solving rounds, a research-paper-based problem in the Pre-Final, certificates and honours for participants and finalists, and cash prizes for selected winners. Participation and examinations are conducted online according to the official IAAC timetable.

Open to current high school and university students worldwide, divided into three categories: Junior (Grade 10 and below, under 16), Youth (Grades 11–13, under 19) and Senior (1st year college/university and above, 19 years or older). The age or grade on the Qualification Round submission deadline determines category.

Create an account on the official IAAC website, access Qualification Round problems, prepare solutions and submit online before the deadline; separate registration required if selected for the Pre-Final Round.
