HMRC Tax Specialist Programme 2027

The HMRC Tax Specialist Programme 2027 offers 500 permanent positions with paid employment, structured professional training and practical experience in tax and public service. Trainees join as Higher Executive Officers and undertake a three- to four-year development programme designed to build specialist knowledge in tax-related work and progress to senior professional roles.

Permanent employment with a salary (starting around £37,682–£46,077 locally, rising after completion), pension, annual leave, flexible/hybrid working options, and structured professional development.
