The L Coloquio Internacional de Historia del Arte gathers specialists from Latin America, North America and other regions to discuss questions of authenticity, provenance, and the production of value in art history, focusing on how genuine pieces are distinguished from forgeries and copies, and how different societies assign significance to artworks. The event is organized by the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas de la UNAM, the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, and the Instituto Zacatecano de Cultura, and includes a related exhibition.
