Information

The MBA Special Advisor Fellowship is a one-year program coordinated by the U.S. Department of State's M/SS in which fellows serve as special advisors to bureau executives, focusing on management areas such as data analytics, strategic planning, human resources, logistics, and financial management. Fellows work on high-impact project assignments within a Department of State bureau, with orientation followed by approximately 11 months of project work in the Washington, D.C. area. Fellows are paid as Civil Service employees under the GS pay scale, with relocation not covered.

Benefits

Salary as a Civil Service employee (GS-9 to GS-13 level depending on experience), 12-month appointment.

Eligibility

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold an MBA or be in the second year of an MBA program with degree conferral before entering on duty, and be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
