AXA Chairs Program 2025

The AXA Chairs Program is a highly selective funding scheme aiming to create a full-time academic position at a host institution and advance research in health, climate, and new technologies and socioeconomics. It provides substantial annual funding to support senior researchers and their research program at the host institution. The program seeks to foster a step change in the career of the appointed AXA Professor and supports projects aligned with global risk priorities.

Funding for the chair position including salary and research costs; supports creation of a full-time academic position at the host institution.

Host institutions must be registered in the AXA Research Fund’s database and may submit only one candidate for the whole institution; the prospective Chairholder should be at least PhD +10 years and demonstrated outstanding research achievements.
