Senior Program Officer, Sub-Saharan Africa

The Wikimedia Foundation is hiring a Senior Program Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa to lead regional funding programmes and support volunteer communities, nonprofit partners and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the region. The role is remote and part of the Community Resources team, focusing on grantmaking, capacity development and participatory decision-making within Wikimedia communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Salary commensurate with country of employment; remote work arrangement; potential travel opportunities.

Candidates should have experience in international grantmaking, nonprofit capacity development, and participatory decision-making, with strong English written and spoken communication. Experience living or working internationally is advantageous.
