Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA)

The Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA) is a mentoring program at West Virginia University that supports high school students in pursuing STEM and health-sciences degrees. It emphasizes mentorship from teachers, university faculty, and community members, with a focus on students facing social and financial challenges. The program aims to help students enter and succeed in STEM+M degree programs through ongoing guidance and support.

Mentorship and guidance from university staff and partners to help entrants prepare for STEM/health sciences degree programs.

West Virginia residents and U.S. citizens in 8th grade, attending an approved school in an HSTA region, with at least a 2.5 GPA, and an interest in health sciences or STEM+M.
