KHMW Langerhuizen Bate

The KHMW Langerhuizen Bate is an annual research grant awarded from the Pieter Langerhuizen Lambertuszoon Fund to promote research in the natural sciences. The award is for a single discipline each year (2027: chemistry) and is adjudicated by a committee of experts and granted by the board of the Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen. The award amount is €25,000. Preference is given to applications requesting the full amount.

Persons employed by a Dutch research institution who are at the start of their career (PhD student, postdoc, assistant professor) are eligible to receive the bate.

Applications are submitted following the announcement (posted on the KHMW webpage); applications are evaluated by a committee of experts and awarded by the KHMW board.
