Programa Maestros Sobresalientes

The Programa Maestros Sobresalientes is a cohort-based group visit and immersion programme for outstanding Colombian basic and secondary school teachers. It places invited teachers in Spain on an agenda of immersion in the Spanish basic and secondary education system and facilitates exchange of pedagogical experiences. The programme aims to promote professionalisation of teaching, social recognition of the profession and strengthen educational ties between Colombia and Spain. Participants are selected in Colombia for presenting high-impact educational projects and having received national teaching awards.

Directed to Colombian basic and secondary school teachers who have been awarded national teaching prizes in Colombia and who have presented high-impact educational projects in their communities (examples: Premio Compartir al Maestro, Premio Hazañas Maestras de RCN, Premio Nacional al Docente BBVA).
