The SDG Challenge is a funding call by Science Foundation Ireland and Irish Aid to support diverse, transdisciplinary teams developing transformative, sustainable solutions addressing UN SDGs in countries where Irish Aid works. It targets collaborative research teams based in Ireland and partner countries, with funding available up to €300k for the project and an overall prize of €1M for the top-performing team.

Eligibility

Ireland-based team leads must be academic staff or contract researchers with a PhD, and partner-country team co-leads must be employed at a eligible HEI/RPO in a partner country.
