Information

This is a competitive visiting scholar program for early career researchers from the AAP consortium to work for one year at Michigan State University under faculty mentorship. It focuses on building research impact, scholarly and policy writing, dissemination of results, and development of grant proposals, along with a structured professional development program. The program aims to strengthen African research leadership and foster long-term collaborations between MSU and scholars’ home institutions.

Eligibility

Open to citizens of African countries who have completed a PhD within the last 10 years, are employed as academic staff at an AAP consortium university, have leave/sabbatical approval, and have a home institution mentor; research must align with AAP priority areas and only one proposal per applicant is allowed.
