Education and Learning Grants

Grant Partially funded
Gilchrist Educational Trust Worldwide 2026

Information

The Education and Learning Grants are small project grants awarded by the Gilchrist Educational Trust to UK-registered charities and Community Interest Companies. Grants typically range from £500 to £4,000 and support projects that improve access to learning, the experience of learning, or capacity within education systems for vulnerable children and adults. The trustees prioritise projects focused on literacy, numeracy and STEM, early childhood education, and initiatives that build long-term capacity and reach those most at risk of missing out on education. Successful applicants must submit a short report by March of the following year summarising grant use.

Benefits

Project grant funding (typically £500–£4,000); requirement to submit a short report by March of the following year; possible publicity of project content by the Trust.
