Startovací granty Nadace Experientia

The Startovací granty of Nadace Experientia are competitive start-up grants awarded to an outstanding early-career researcher to establish an independent research group at a Czech host institution. The grant supports research in organic, bioorganic or medicinal chemistry and funds a research group for three years with specified financial support from the foundation and additional host-institution resources. Selection is by international peer review and a presentation to the Grant Committee and Board.

Three years of funding for a research group (6.6 million CZK total from the foundation), host-institution contributions for personnel and laboratory equipment, appointment as employee of the host institution, mentoring and expectations of ERC application support; presentation at the Liblice conference in the final year.

Applicants must have at least one year of experience at a foreign workplace, be no more than seven years from completion of their PhD, and conduct research in organic, bioorganic or medicinal chemistry. Applicants must secure a host institution willing to host the research group.

Submit application as PDF by email to experientia@experientia.cz by 15 February; include project description, structured CV, team members, host institution agreement, budget and two recommendation letters sent directly to the foundation. Shortlisted candidates present to the Grant Committee and Board (late May) and will be notified by 30 June; contract concluded by 15 December.
