IEA Research and Policy Grant for Early Career Researchers 2026

The IEA, in partnership with the European Commission DG EAC, offers the Research and Policy Grant for Early Career Researchers. The grant supports emerging researchers conducting secondary analyses of international educational assessment data and aims to inform education policy across Europe. Benefits include funding, methodological guidance, and opportunities for international collaboration, with priority given to projects aligned with European education policy priorities.

Financial support (€20,000 per project), 12-month project period, access to IEA training, methodological and thematic guidance, and policy-engagement opportunities.

Open to PhD candidates and researchers who obtained their first doctoral degree within the previous five years; Master’s degree holders with limited additional research experience may also qualify.
