Stipend of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine named after Borys Paton

The Stipend of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine named after Borys Paton is an annual one-year scholarship awarded to young scientists. It is intended for researchers employed (full-time or part-time) at scientific institutions subordinate to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The stipend is paid monthly in the amount of five subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons established on 1 January of the year of receiving the stipend. Candidates are nominated by their employing scientific institution and applications are submitted to the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Young scientists who work (by main place of work or concurrently) in scientific institutions subordinate to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; applicants must provide documents on scientific degree (PhD or Doctor of Sciences) where applicable as part of the submission.

Scientific institution reviews candidate by 31 March and nominates via the institution's decision; institution submits a package (two paper copies and one electronic copy on USB) of the stipend application to the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine by 30 April.
