Fibre-optic Sensing Enabling Marine Science (SRC-SENSE)

Fibre-optic Sensing Enabling Marine Science (SRC-SENSE) is a call for proposals to establish a research centre focused on advanced fibre-optic sensor technology for marine observation and monitoring. The centre will develop sensors for applications including environmental and climate monitoring, seismic detection, marine ecosystem tracking and cable status diagnostics. The project is linked to the Polar Connect Cable infrastructure and aims to enable continuous subsea sensing for research and infrastructure monitoring.
