Fall Seed Grant 2025

The Fall Seed Grant 2025 is a set of four monocentric research grants funding 12-month seed research projects on specific rare genetic diseases. Each grant supports research into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic approaches for one of four named conditions. The initiative is funded by Fondazione Telethon in collaboration with patient associations and targets projects led from Italian research institutions. Budgets are awarded per project with a maximum of €50,000 for a 12-month period.

Open to all researchers working in Italian research institutions, public or private non-profit, including Telethon Institutes; each researcher may be Lead Applicant for only one of the four calls. Researchers currently funded by Fondazione Telethon may apply.

Register on the Fondazione Telethon Grant Management System portal, enter the project title and complete the Type of Research section indicating disease name and code, research type and research step; submit the project via the portal by the deadline.
