Spring Seed Grant 2025

The Spring Seed Grant 2025 is a funding initiative to support 12-month seed research projects on selected rare genetic diseases. Four disease-specific monocentric calls are open (Anderson-Fabry, SATB2-associated syndrome, Sturge-Weber syndrome, Jamuar/UGDH syndrome), each with a maximum budget of €50,000. The initiative is run in collaboration with relevant patient associations and aims to advance knowledge of disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic approaches. Projects must be conducted in Italian research institutions, including Telethon Institutes.

Open to researchers working in Italian research institutions, public or private non-profit, including Telethon Institutes (SR-TIGET and TIGEM). Each researcher may participate as Lead Applicant in only one of the four calls.

Register or log in to the Fondazione Telethon Grant Management System portal, enter project title and required metadata, and submit the application through the portal by the deadline.
