Information

The Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program is an eight-week intensive research opportunity in the sciences. Amgen Scholars are placed in Kyoto University departments or interdisciplinary areas that support science and biotechnology research, with a full-time research commitment and additional educational activities such as seminars and a poster session at the end. The program includes a stipend, accommodation, travel support, and an in-person symposium in Kyoto during the program period.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students enrolled in colleges or universities in Asia that award a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent), who have completed at least the first year of undergraduate study by the start of the program and will resume undergraduate studies after the program for at least one semester, with a strong academic record and English proficiency.

Application

Submit an online application when the system opens; provide a Statement of Purpose, two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts and English test scores.
