Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) 2026

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is a government-sponsored scholarship programme for international students pursuing Master’s, Doctoral, and Research programmes at leading Korean universities. It aims to promote international education exchange and cultural immersion in South Korea. The programme is managed by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) and provides comprehensive funding and language training to selected participants.

Round-trip international airfare, full tuition fee waiver, monthly living allowance, settlement allowance, Korean language training, medical insurance, research and thesis support, additional grants for high Korean language proficiency

Applicants must be international students pursuing Master’s, Doctoral, or Research programmes and meet country eligibility, age/degree requirements, and health standards; the specific requirements vary slightly by year.
