OIST Research Internship Program 2026

The OIST Research Internship Program is a fully funded internship at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in Japan. Interns receive mentorship from leading researchers and gain exposure to state-of-the-art facilities, with program duration typically lasting 2 to 6 months and intake in spring or fall.

Monthly stipend, round-trip travel, accommodation support, health insurance, access to facilities, mentorship from researchers

Open to current undergraduate or master’s students worldwide who have a strong academic background in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, and who can communicate in English.
