About this opportunity

RIPS-LA 2026 is a fully funded 9-week research experience at UCLA’s Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) where teams of undergraduate students work on applied mathematics, data science, and computational challenges from industry and public-sector organizations. Participants work under joint supervision from academic and industry mentors, deliver a written report and presentation, and gain hands-on research experience in a professional setting. The program includes housing, meals, a stipend, travel allowance, visa assistance, and access to mentoring and development opportunities.
