University of Sydney RTP Scholarships 2025-2026

The University of Sydney invites applications for its 2025 Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships, a fully funded opportunity for domestic and international students aiming to undertake a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) in Australia. The program is funded by the Australian Government and administered by the University, covering full tuition fees and providing a stipend to support living expenses. It supports a wide range of disciplines across science, engineering, social sciences and humanities at a leading Australian research institution.

Full tuition fee coverage, annual stipend, relocation allowance, thesis allowance, health insurance (OSHC) for international students, and access to university research resources.

Applicants must be commencing or currently enrolled in a University of Sydney HDR program and have an excellent academic record and prior research experience, meeting the University’s English language requirements. A separate scholarship application form is required alongside admission.
