Hertz Fellowship

The Hertz Fellowship funds PhD researchers in applied sciences, engineering, and mathematics. It provides up to five years of funding and access to a community of scientists and mentors supporting independent research. The program is highly selective and takes place at partner universities in the United States.

Up to $250,000 over 5 years; lifelong mentorship and networking; access to a community of scientists and technologists.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and plan to pursue a PhD in applied sciences, engineering, or mathematics.

Register via the Hertz Foundation application portal and submit required documents by the stated deadlines.
