JSPS Invitational Fellowships for Research in Japan 2027–28

The JSPS International Fellowships offer fully funded research opportunities in Japan for postdoctoral and senior researchers worldwide, supporting collaborative research across all disciplines with a monthly stipend and additional allowances. The programme provides opportunities to conduct research at Japanese universities and research institutes for up to two years in collaboration with a host researcher.

Applicants must hold a PhD (or expect to obtain one) within the last six years, be citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with Japan, secure a host researcher at a Japanese institution, and submit a collaborative research proposal aligned with the host institution.
