Estonian Scholarship Programme 2026/2027 International Students, Researchers & Academic Staff

The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, together with the Education and Youth Board, offers scholarships to international students, researchers, and academic staff under bilateral agreements. The 2026/27 application cycle includes opportunities for summer schools, research activities, and degree or exchange studies in Estonia, with funding that covers participation or tuition and living costs depending on the programme.

Participation fees, accommodation, living costs, and in some programmes tuition coverage and living support.

Summer Schools: BA, MA or PhD students enrolled at least one year at a foreign university. Researchers/Academic Staff: Must hold an academic position at a foreign institution. Degree & Exchange Studies: Foreign students admitted to Estonian higher education institutions; BA: fields related to Estonian language and culture; MA/PhD: all fields.
