The African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) is a training and mentorship initiative aimed at developing young African policymakers. It targets highly skilled final-year students or recent graduates in Economics, Political Science, and International Relations with strong academic records. The program provides hands-on training in economic policy, research, and development, plus career opportunities and networking with experienced economists and policy experts.

Eligibility

Applicants must be final-year undergraduate students or recent graduates from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa, with a First Class or Second Class Upper (2:1) and not have graduated before 2025, showing interest in policy, research, and development.
