About this opportunity

DefendDefenders, Front Line Defenders and ISHR are organising an in-person training to equip African defenders with the knowledge and skills to integrate the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights into their existing work at the national level in a strategic manner. The training lasts two and a half days of learning sessions and workshops and includes attendance to the NGO Forum and the first day of the ACHPR’s 89th session.

Benefits & funding

Flight costs, accommodation and meals are covered; participation includes attendance at the NGO Forum and the first day of the ACHPR session.

Eligibility

Experienced African human rights defenders from all sub-regions with at least five years of advocacy experience at the national level; focus given to participants from a specified list of African countries.
