International Research Training Scholarship (iRTP) and International Macquarie Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES)

Macquarie University offers two scholarships for international graduate research students: the International Research Training Program (iRTP) and the International Macquarie Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES). The iRTP is funded by the Australian Government and supports PhD candidates with tuition coverage, living allowance, and travel concessions; iMQRES is university-funded and supports outstanding research aligned with the university’s priorities. The awards are available to international students pursuing research at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Applicants must be non-Australian and non-New Zealand citizens, intend to reside in Sydney during their research, meet Macquarie University’s academic and English language requirements, have completed their degree by the time of application, and secure supervision from an eligible Macquarie researcher.
