The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) offers fully funded master’s degree opportunities for African students. The program provides full tuition, living stipends, accommodation, medical insurance, and additional support including travel and mentorship. It targets academically talented individuals facing barriers to higher education and aims to foster leadership and community service commitments.

Benefits

Full tuition fees, living stipends, accommodation, medical insurance, laptop and study materials, travel costs (economy return flight), access to an Entrepreneurial Fund, pre-arrival orientation and leadership/entrepreneurship training, internship placements and postgraduation mentorship, network membership.

Eligibility

Citizens of African countries who are under or at 35 years old at the time of admission and who have completed an undergraduate degree.

Application

Apply for admission to UGHE in a master’s program (MGHD or MHPE) and complete the online admissions portal; eligible admitted applicants are automatically considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
