Information

The WTO Young Trade Leaders Programme is an initiative to foster understanding of the WTO's work and international trade among young people and to create a global network of Young Trade Leaders. Selected participants will engage with WTO activities and gain exposure to trade issues, with opportunities to publish content and participate in WTO events.

Benefits

Participants gain a deeper understanding of the WTO and international trade, can publish content on trade topics, attend an in-person one-day training at the WTO in Geneva, coordinate a session during the WTO Public Forum, access existing WTO training programmes, receive mentoring, and get support for WTO-related activities in their home countries.

Eligibility

Applicants must be 18-28 years old on the closing date, a citizen of a WTO member, not currently affiliated with the WTO nor have a relative who is, and proficient in English (knowledge of a second WTO working language is an asset).

Application

Submit an online application form with required documents, including a CV, a short video, and a written contribution (one of three topics).

Always verify details on the official website before applying. Found an error? Tell us.
