Magamba Network Digital Rights Hackathon

The Magamba Network Digital Rights Hackathon brings together Africa’s innovative minds to develop tech solutions addressing online censorship, digital surveillance, disinformation, and internet shutdowns. Participants engage in intensive coding sessions, receive mentorship from digital rights experts, and compete for seed funding while connecting with Africa’s digital activism community.

1st Prize: $5,000 + 6-month mentorship; 2nd Prize: $3,000 + 3-month mentorship; 3rd Prize: $1,000 + 1-month mentorship; fully funded travel for in-person finalists; toolkit and networking opportunities.

Open to teams (2-5 members) or individuals from Africa, aged 18-35, with skills in coding, design, activism, journalism, or related fields.
