Abel Prize Travel Fellowships for Science Journalists 2027

Two travel fellowships are awarded to science journalists to attend the Abel Prize Week in Oslo, Norway. Fellows will participate in the Abel Prize Week events, have access to official activities, and may interview the Abel Prize laureate(s). Travel costs, hotel accommodation, and related support are provided by the organizing bodies.

Travel costs to and from Oslo, travel health insurance, hotel accommodation including breakfast, access to Abel Prize Week events including the award ceremony, opportunities to interview the laureate(s).

Applicants must be professional science journalists working on staff or as freelancers and able to attend the entire Abel Prize Week in Oslo (25–28 May 2026).
