This fellowship provides an opportunity for early-career local researchers in Sierra Leone to conduct policy-relevant research under the Herbert P. M’cleod Local Researchers Programme. Fellows will receive a research grant and mentorship, and will engage with ministries and government agencies to inform decision-making on priority issues.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Sierra Leonean nationals or residents enrolled in a postgraduate program (PhD or Master’s) or serving as junior researchers or faculty in a Sierra Leonean institution, with strong quantitative/analytical skills and a research idea aligned to the tracks.

Application

Submit a CV, a cover letter describing motivation and relevant experience, a short outline of the proposed research idea under one of the tracks, one academic reference, and a writing sample by email to the provided address.
