Information

Applications are open for the Rise Up Leadership & Advocacy Program in Kenya 2025. Selected local civil society leaders from Kenya will participate in Rise Up’s Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator training to strengthen gender equity and justice, with in-person sessions in July 2025 and virtual components pre- and post-training. Rise Up provides training, funding, and a global network to help leaders advance laws, programs, and funding for women, girls, and gender-nonconforming people, including a grant of $17,000 USD to participating leaders and their organizations.

Eligibility

Civil Society leaders of minimum 18 years of age at the time of the training in July 2025; currently working in Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado or Machakos Counties; English proficiency; and affiliation with a non-profit, civil society, media, or government organization with some level of decision-making power.
