International Chemistry Olympiad

The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) is an annual competition for secondary school chemistry students featuring theoretical and practical examinations. Participants undertake rigorous examinations, including 5-hour sessions, and are awarded medals and honors for outstanding performance. The 58th IChO will be hosted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and will bring together delegations from over 90 countries. The competition focuses on individual achievement and fostering international scientific collaboration.

Students are selected by their national chemistry bodies after national olympiads, screening tests and training camps; students do not apply directly to IChO.
