Think Science! Competition

Think Science! is a school-level science inquiry competition for students to investigate a testable question, collect evidence and present findings in a short video. It is designed for Years 3–10 and can be run in classroom, home or extension project settings. Entries are submitted by a teacher on behalf of a class or team and are judged with prizes awarded to winning schools and students. Winners are announced during National Science Week.

Over $10,000 in prizes for winning schools and students; winning schools receive science education resources; students may receive medals, certificates and other prizes depending on category and place.

Students in Years 3–10 from all Australian states and territories; entries are registered by a teacher on behalf of a class or team; homeschool teams are eligible.

Register your school to receive updates and submission information, then submit entries via the Teacher Entry Form (a teacher submits an online form and provides a private YouTube video link).
