Information

A paid 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students to conduct mentored biomedical research in a faculty laboratory. Participants work full-time (40 hrs/week), attend professional development and scientific seminars, and prepare a poster to present at a professional research conference. The program provides a competitive monetary award paid as hourly wages for the summer. Positions are competitive and subject to available INBRE-5 funding.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students must be enrolled at an Idaho institution of higher education and be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in December 2026 or later; students graduating May or August 2026 are not eligible.

Select and contact a faculty preceptor who agrees to mentor you, complete the online application, submit transcripts (unofficial acceptable), and invite one reference to submit a recommendation via the Register References tab; submit completed application by the due date.
