Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Awards

A summer 2026 program for international undergraduate students to work on a full-time research project under a faculty supervisor at UBC for a minimum of 16 weeks. Participants develop skills in communication and project management within a research environment. Applications are submitted jointly by the student and a faculty supervisor and are reviewed by the supervisor’s home Department or Faculty. Some funded projects may post open positions later in the recruitment cycle.

Work with a faculty supervisor to submit a joint proposal via UBC CareersOnline (supervisor must create an account). Proposals are reviewed by the supervisor’s Department or Faculty. Alternatively, some funded projects may post open positions on UBC CareersOnline (March 9–25, 2026).
