About this opportunity
Regional Science Olympiad tournaments for Southern California where student teams compete in up to 23 events across STEM topics including anatomy, earth science, chemistry, physics, geology, and engineering. Teams of students (divided into Divisions A, B, and C by grade) prepare and compete at Regional Tournaments, with top teams advancing to a Southern California State Tournament in April and the National Tournament in May. Events include written tests, hands-on labs, and device construction events. The season begins in September when the event rules are released and registration opens.

Eligibility
Student teams of up to 15 compete in Divisions A (Grades 4-6), B (Grades 6-9), or C (Grades 9-12). Teams enter Regional Tournaments and may advance to the Southern California State Tournament and then the National Tournament.
