About this opportunity
RISE is a 10-week summer research program at the University of California, Riverside for undergraduates to work under faculty supervision on cutting-edge research projects. The program includes faculty mentorship, professional development, and an undergraduate symposium. It runs June 22–August 28, 2026 and expects full-time participation (35–40 hours/week). The College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences provides a stipend for participating scholars.

Eligibility
Rising sophomores, rising juniors, and incoming transfer students; undergraduate students from CNAS Learning Communities (CNAS Scholars), current CNAS transfer students (CNAS Transfer Connections), and incoming CNAS transfer students (Summer Bridge to Research) are eligible. Learning Community completion will be reviewed for current UCR CNAS undergraduates; the requirement is waived for transfer students.
