Information

A summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in the Department of Chemistry at Syracuse University that places undergraduates on supervised research projects. It is intended for students who have completed at least their first year of study and are interested in chemistry research. Participants conduct research in areas such as inorganic, physical, organic, biochemistry, materials science and related fields and receive financial and residential support for the summer.

Benefits

A $7,000 stipend, university housing provided at no additional cost, travel and conference reimbursement if applicable, and a $1,000 food allowance; supervised research experience in multiple chemistry subfields.

Eligibility

The program is open to all students who have completed their first year of study and who have a serious interest in chemistry; most participants will have completed their junior years, although talented students with less experience will also be considered.
