Information

The NSF Student Travel Award provides travel support for students to attend the IEEE/ACM CHASE 2026 conference. It recognizes students with strong academic background and research potential in Connected Health whose work (regular/poster/demo) has been accepted to the conference. Up to ~20 students are expected to be supported, with awards intended to assist attendance expenses. Award recipients receive travel reimbursement after attending the conference.

Benefits

Approximately $600 travel reimbursement (amount depends on budget and applicant location) applicable to registration, meals (per diem limit), transportation, and lodging for conference dates.

Eligibility

Graduate, undergraduate and senior high school students from US-based institutions who have accepted regular/poster/demo papers at the conference, have strong reviewer scores, GPA > 3.5, and a strong letter of recommendation from their advisor; each institution is limited to two awards; postdoctoral researchers and non US-based institutions are not eligible.

Application

Submit the Award Application Form (upload a cover letter and CV, plus an advisor recommendation letter). The advisor's letter must commit to covering remaining travel expenses; awardees are notified by email and must accept by the acceptance deadline.
