Information

A University of New England scholarship for an international or domestic PhD student to work in the Computational Chemistry Lab on design of 2D nanomaterials for water capture technologies in collaboration with the VESI WATER start-up and Okayama University. The position offers supervised research within UNE’s School of Science and Technology with access to local and national supercomputing facilities. The scholarship is tenable for up to three years and six months full-time. The role involves density functional theory simulations and collaboration with experimental partners.

Benefits

Annual stipend of $32,192 (tax-free), international tuition fees covered, overseas health cover for the student, scholarship tenure up to 3.5 years.

Eligibility

Open to international and domestic PhD students with an excellent undergraduate academic record and interest/background in computational chemistry; additional expertise in materials/organic chemistry and DFT experience will be favourably considered.
