Information

A summer REU research program in the Department of Chemistry at Texas A&M University where undergraduate students conduct independent, graduate-level research on topics related to sustainability, green chemistry, climate change, and human health. Participants work with faculty and graduate mentors, attend weekly professional development workshops and seminars, and present their research in a poster session and symposium. The program includes social and networking events and preparation for graduate study and STEM careers.

Benefits

Stipend ($7,000), travel support (up to $500), university housing, meal card ($500), $700 for conference presentation, professional development workshops, mentorship, and research presentation opportunities.

Eligibility

Open to undergraduates majoring in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related fields who have completed at least one year of college including two semesters of college chemistry with lab experience; applicants from 4-year universities (excluding Texas A&M) and community colleges are welcome. Due to funding restrictions, only U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be accepted.
